Our recipes have been collected during our 25 years of travel within the Mexican interior. Everything we serve is made on premises except for the bread and tortillas. We use locally sourced products whenever possible, with chiles farmed in Mexico. While most dishes contain chiles, they are not necessarily picante, but all dishes are served with hot salsa on the side.
We have a full bar, Mexican beer, margaritas, and a small wine list. XYZ margaritas are made to the recipe of the Hotel Mexico in Xalapa, with Sauza white tequila, orange liquor and fresh lime juice. Last year the bartenders squeezed more than 1,800 pounds of limes. Fine sipping tequilas are accompanied by homemade sangrita, the traditional accompaniment to straight tequila, available either mild or wild. We also serve a large assortment of non-alcoholic beers and limeade made with fresh lime juice.
Children are of course welcome. We have a limited children’s menu and ask only that parents ensure their children do not disturb other diners.
